Privacy Policy
SIGNO Corporation handles the personal information you send us with care. This policy explains exactly what we collect through this website, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. Scope
This policy applies to signokorea.com, this corporate website, only. Each brand we operate — KAPORI, SMOLLID, Dietrot, illmm, Meuzel and FIVSOC — runs its own online store on its own domain, and each store publishes its own privacy policy covering orders, payments and shipping. If your question is about an order you placed, please read the policy on that store.
We process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea and the related enforcement decree.
2. What we collect
We keep collection to the minimum needed to answer you. There are no accounts and no sign-up on this site.
Information you give us
When you submit the inquiry form or email us directly, we receive:
- Name — so we know who we are replying to (required)
- Email address — so we can reply (required)
- Inquiry type — partnership, production, careers, press or other (optional)
- Message content — anything you choose to write, including details you add yourself such as a company name, phone number or portfolio link (required)
Information collected automatically
This website does not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies of its own. Our hosting provider records standard server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting; these are held by the provider under their own retention schedule and are not used to profile visitors.
3. How we use it
- Replying to your inquiry and any follow-up conversation about it
- Reviewing partnership, retail and production proposals
- Reviewing job applications and contacting candidates
- Responding to press and media requests
- Keeping a record of who we agreed what with, for dispute handling
We do not use inquiry data for marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not build advertising audiences from it. If we ever want to contact you for something other than the reason you wrote to us, we will ask for your consent first.
4. Legal basis
We process this information on the basis of your consent, given when you knowingly submit the form or send us an email, and where relevant on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. Providing the information is entirely voluntary — but without a name, an email address and a message we cannot reply.
5. How long we keep it
- General inquiries — 1 year from the date we close the conversation, then deleted
- Job applications — 1 year from the end of the hiring process, unless you ask us to keep them on file for future openings
- Partnership and production proposals that become a contract — for the term of the contract and 5 years after it ends, as required by commercial and tax law
- Server access logs — per our hosting provider's standard schedule, typically no more than 90 days
Deletion is permanent: electronic records are erased so that they cannot be restored, and any printed material is shredded.
6. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose it only where the law requires it — for example a lawful request from an investigative authority.
To run this site and our mailbox we rely on service providers who handle data on our behalf:
- Website hosting and inquiry form — Netlify, Inc. (United States) · serves this site, keeps server access logs, and receives and stores the messages submitted through the inquiry form
- Email — Google LLC (United States) · receives, stores and sends our correspondence
Transfer outside Korea
Both providers process data on servers outside the Republic of Korea. Under the Personal Information Protection Act we disclose the following:
- Recipient
- Netlify, Inc. · Google LLC
- Country
- United States (and other regions where these providers operate edge servers)
- Items transferred
- Name, email address, inquiry type, message content, consent record, and server access logs
- Purpose
- Hosting this website, receiving inquiry submissions, and delivering our reply
- Retention
- As set out in section 5; deleted from the provider when deleted by us
- Method and timing
- Transmitted over an encrypted connection at the moment you submit the form or send us an email
You may refuse this transfer — in which case please contact us by telephone on 033 263 3334 instead of using the form. We choose providers that keep data encrypted in transit and at rest, and we limit them to processing on our instructions.
7. Your rights
You may at any time ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold information about you, and give you a copy
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete what we hold
- Stop processing it
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave
Write to sinokorea.corp@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We respond within 10 days. A legal representative may make the request on your behalf with written authority. We may decline deletion only where a law requires us to keep the record — if that happens we will tell you which law.
8. How we protect it
- The whole site is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit
- Access to the inquiry mailbox is limited to the staff who need it, with multi-factor authentication
- Access rights are reviewed when someone joins, changes role or leaves
- Records past their retention period are deleted on a scheduled basis
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the Personal Information Protection Commission without undue delay, and tell you what happened and what we are doing about it.
9. Children
This site is aimed at business partners, candidates and press, and is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 14. If we learn we have, we delete it immediately.
10. Privacy officer
- Officer
- Name of the responsible person

11. If you are not satisfied
Please contact us first — most issues are resolved in a single email. If you would rather escalate, or you are unhappy with our answer, these Korean public bodies handle privacy complaints independently:
- Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee — 1833-6972 · kopico.go.kr
- Privacy Infringement Report Centre (KISA) — 118 · privacy.kisa.or.kr
- Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Cyber Investigation Division — 1301 · spo.go.kr
- National Police Agency, Cyber Bureau — 182 · ecrm.police.go.kr
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. For changes that materially affect your rights we will post a notice on this site at least 7 days before they take effect — 30 days where the change is to your disadvantage.
